High School Hockey in Minnesota

Recommended Posts

It's a public school in a town of a less than 3000 people.

I guess when kids can get on the ice any time, the town will have some damn good players.

3 rinks for 3000 people sounds amazing, whats the level like in minnesota high school hockey like? Ive heard that midgets would rather play for there highschool team then there local AAA team.

If it's any indication, Blake Wheeler was drafted 5th in 2004 (by the Coyotes) straight out of a Minnesota high school.

im guessing your from pittsburgh?

yes,

I looked at north rinks scheduale in Roseau. basically, practices from 1-6 everyday and the rest is open ice. The lights are turned off if no one is there. This makes me want to cry. Here close to the city, people would pay a premium to have a rink actually in Pittsburgh!

the pens are talking about a practice facility with their new arena for amateur hockey, but I can imagine what they would charge.

It is on Fox Sports Net- North. How good is Warroad this year. I know Roseau is #1 in the state in A but I didn't think Warroad was as good as they usually are this year. I will be a good game either way.

I haven't seen Warroad play, but they are ranked 3rd in LPH. I was also wondering if anyone has seen Ness play. I heard he's sick. He must be very smart to graduate a year early to go the the U also.
