Discontinued skates

Hi everyone,

I am looking for a pair of vapor 10 skates (2002) in skate size 9E.

Is there a section or thread here where people who are looking for equipment (new or used) can post and potential sellers can reply ? Just like ebay except it would be an alternave way of finding discontinued items, not everyone uses ebay.

The classifieds section is still alive and kicking. The moderators will intiate your access to them after they feel that you are a consitently positive contributing member to the forum, and thus deem you trustworthy to sell within the site.

Post count is semi-relative. The moderators basically "police" all of the threads, and read all of the posts. As they start to get a good idea of the various new guys posting on the board, they will then in turn upgrade your member status. I'm sure that the guys are reading this thread also, and you will probably soon have the upgraded status that you are looking for. Be patient....make some good meaningful posts in a variety of threads, and you'll acquire "Members+" status.

Post count means nothing actually. Being a post whore is a good way to get put on approval I gather.

Actually, not exactly the case.

Members+ is automatically upgraded after a certain amount of posts.

The thing is, those who are posting crap to build their post count will be found and I'll override their mask that when they reach the post count, they'll have the members+ title yet they will still be a member.

There's no way I could sit there and look at every member and deem them ready. But those who are obvious post whores and/or post meaningless posts stick out like a sore thumb.

We tend to do things differently than most MBs. This site is viewed as the biggest consumer market research tool to the hockey industry, and that's why we don't tend to be as lenient as others.

Just keep being an active member, this site has a lot more benefits by being an active member than just the trading post... Knowledge. You will save many headaches and bad purchases by gaining the knowledge that being on a board such as this provides.

I think anyone can agree with that ^^^^, I haven't been here too long, but I can't count how many times the people here have saved me from buying something. I practically never use the trading post, I could care less if it were here or not, though others feel different I'm sure.

I dont have access to the members+ etc yet(although i could use it considering UK prices) but this site definately has helped me alot. i check multiple times religiously now and the wealth of information is unbelievable. its the small tip things that make a difference(getting an extension to stay firm etc), it makes you look like a hockey guru lol altho i do always quote where i got the info. Its always good to see peoples opinions on equipment, problems they have and add ur 2pennies in if you have the relevant experiences.

Since discovering this site I have read three of the forums here daily (equipment, general, and NHL), but rarely post anything because I'm afraid of "sounding" stupid. Guess I'll never reach the Elite status of being a +member+ :( Really enjoy reading about what other hockey fans across the world have to say though.

Wow, I thought I was losing my mind, and that the marketplace didn't actually exist here. I thought I was thinking of the old Corebeam forums. I have been around these boards since 04, and have a whopping 55 posts. I may never make it to members+, even though I read these forums everyday. I have gained so much knowledge here, but don't usaully post unless I really have something different to add. So what is the magic number, does anyone know for sure?
