What do you guys think about the CCm Tacks glove (852 or Pro Tacks)?

Mathieu - the 852 is rotting away on my rack. Pro Tacks haven't sold all that well anyway. In the age of radical gloves, the old traditional gloves don't sell all that well. CCM should look into updating the look of the Pro Tacks some ;)

Agreed, The whole line of CCM gloves is just sitting there on our wall also. Our shop manager was new at the time and added a few to many to the booking order. NOT a big fan of of CCM gloves. The Eastons, Bauers & Eagles always sell better. I use a pair of TPS HGTs even though our shop doesn't carry them.

The old R2 is probably the best fitting glove for my hand. I liked the fact they finally went to a split finger on the 852, but it seems like they got passed in terms of quality by the time it was released.

It's kindof like they've rideden the traditional style bus as long as one can and now they must adapt or fade out. I agree that Bauer and TPS have raised the bar considerably, especially with the XV, dollar for dollar the best glove out there.

I agree that shiny NASA worthy gloves, and silver skates probably sell better, but there are still some of us that still prefer traditional black skates and four rolled gloves. H34's are damn sexy.......so are SW 5030's and 703's and 704's.

I also concur that CCM might want to revamp but please don't phase out all traditional looking equipment.

It think it'd be nice if they could offer both types.

EDIT: I know H34's are not made by CCM, just using them as an example of old school looks.
