Replacing Jofa 8500 Shoulder Pads

Recommended Posts

I have some Jofa 8500 ( Center Ice) shoulder pads that I am thinking about replacing. Is there a shoulder pad that is lighter and less bulky than the 8500 but with equal or better protection? I am looking at either the One90 or Lightspeed Pro, but would consider others. The 8500's are getting pretty stinky. Thanks as always!

Check out the Itech stuff- Low profile shoulder caps and you can just go up in model number until you find the level of protection you are looking for. Very solid pads, very reasonably priced.

I like Jofa equipment for protective stuff. All my protective stuff is Jofa. I have the 8800 shoulders and love them they are the lightest pair I ever owned and tried on. I would consider the RBK 9K which is Jofa and are exactly like the 8800's by Jofa. They look the same probally a little better with newer materials but, exactly the same. I almost bought the 9k's but found my 8800's on a closeout for $60 or $70 a lot better than a $100 but, if I didn't find the 8800's I would have sucked it up and bought the 9k's. I just bought RBK shinpads Good luck

I'm not usually a fan of top end shoulder pads but the new Mission Fuel 130s are amazing. Protection in the right places and lots of mobility. Of course, they won't be released until the spring.

Good call Monty22! I was knocking around my LHS and found the Itech 955's for under $90 on sale. Couldn't pass them up.

I've got Itech 255's. I thought they had the most to offer for the price range. Light weight, mobility, and good protection. I didn't care for the similar priced Easton or NBH pads.

Itech makes great shoulder pads. The shops I have worked in always sold a ton of them. I think it's probably the best "bang for the buck" shoulder pad lines going.
