Dolomite Surprise

Recommended Posts

So I have 2 Dolo shafts- the OG (green graphics) and the Dolo II(blue graphics), both 85 flex. The II seems to be whippier than the original, which I attributed to it being not cut down as much.

I took a slapper last night and really felt it flex, so after the skate I pulled out the end plug and took a look. The sticker inside read "340".

It's ok by me, since I don't mind a whippy stick, but I think it's kinda uncool to call it 85, when it's really 75. I wouldn't have been as surprised if it was the older stick, but I would think that the newer version should be right.

I really like the sticks, but it just makes me not trust Warrior.

Same damn thing happened to me. I bought an 85 flex Dolo II, played with it and was shocked at how whippy it was. When I popped the end cap off I discovered it was a 75 Flex.

Needless to say I didn't buy another Warrior.

I honestly think warrior needs a better quality control department. My LHS had a 85 Grip AK27 that had no grip and said 380 on the inside. Luckily they had another that was the right thing, but that broke the first time I used it.

doesn't warrior paint over old sticks like the original synergy?

The original starskies were repainted Innovative sticks but warrior has no association with Easton.

Very interesting. I'll have to keep that in mind when shopping for shafts. I wouldn't mind finding a whippy one.

The Monkey has a bunch of Dolo Pro Stocks in Nipple Grip that are whippy. If you trust Warrior to label the correct flex. :D

you can always order a 400 if you worry about getting one that's whippier than you asked for

you do realize that 400 Warrior/Inno flex is about 60 Easton flex right?
