is it possible to get european gear to ship to the us

Recommended Posts

I know Salming will ship, they've done it to some of my customers who were hooked on it back when salming was selling in the US. Prices were reasonable, shipping is not.

If you really want the stuff you can order it but as already stated you'll pay though the nose for it.You can get any gear you want if you've got the money to pay for it. I really don't see the point though when you've got so much selection of great equipment here in North America. The European stuff isn't that much superior to ours, in fact a lot of the guys over there would rather use a lot of our stuff. I think it's just because it's something different from what we have here that seems to make it appealing and that goes for both sides of the big pond.

why would you want to buy something that is already easily available in the US? I can understand guys here in Asia and Australia trying to buy from the US, but for the guys who have a LHS pretty close by you should be going that route.

The closest real LHS I heard about is in Melbourne, which is basically on the other side of Aust (kinda like CA to MI), so thats not a viable option. There are a few rinks here that sell stuff, but everything you want is basically in a catalog and they would order it for you once you confirm the order. So there is no trying on of skates before you actually buy it.

Last time I was in the US last year, I only spent about $150 on hockey gear. I had 14 flights in 18 days, so I couldnt be lugging everything around with me. The last stop that I had was in Memphis, and I couldnt find anything hockey related...

tell me bout it. Didnt feel safe walking around... every we went seemed to be dodgy. Just stayed in the hotel most of the time but did go to Graceland... I was in Indianapolis the week before, and tried to meet up with one of the other MSH members... found out he went clubbing (most likely got hammered as well).

Hopefully the next US trip would be to larger hockey cities...

It's ridiculous that it's a fairly small city to have such high crime rate. Up there with Detroit and New Orleans in terms of dangerousness to me.

Oh but the BBQ is oh so wonderful in Memphis. "Interstate" for one. Best BBQ in the world. But bring armed guards when you venture to that part of the city.

Man, I get hungry anytime anyone mentions Memphis.

Speaking of Graceland, I remember a time in 1975 when a drunk 18YO attempted to climb over the walls and was promptly caught and escorted off the property by the security force. I still think the scars are on my a$$.

I'm going to have to disagree with you there buddy. My hometown, Owensboro, Kentucky has the best BBQ in the world. Memphis' is pretty good as well though. But here in Ky you more than likely won't die walking around. Unless you go to some parts of Louisville.

i'm afraid the best bbq is here in eastern nc.

I love NC BBQ, I love texas BBQ, I love VA BBQ, I just love BBQ. Memphis BBQ is awesome. Once I stopped at a place just outside of Memphis on I-40, that had a BBQ buffet, it was a hotel I stayed the nite. OMFG! UFB! Stil any vinegar based BBQ is my favorite, and NC style is in that category.

I went to Graceland with my brother about ten years ago and I love the city. It's not really much to look at if you like an impressive skyline but I found the city itself not that bad. Of course we only ventured out during the day except a couple of occassions when we went to Biele Street for some BBQ ribs and drinks. If you have any kind of brain you know enough not to wander American cities at night too much because you're just asking for trouble then. All told we had a great time there and the Hotel we stayed at was great too. Even wandered across the bridge up to Little Rock and down to Mississippi a bit. Great memories.
