Getzlaf S17

Recommended Posts

I came across a Getzlaf Pro stock yesterday that was marked as a S17 but was either a dressed up SE or Stealth. It did have a nice curve but a rather high lie. 6.5 or so. 100-105 flex

TBL; It all made sence after I thought about it. I remember when he had a few at the begining off the season. They broke and he went back to the SE for about a week or so. Walla!! Juset was waiting for more to be painted. I saw this at the same place I told you that had the Heyduke. Just thought that peeps would want to see this. At least the Pro curve.

I'd have to assume it's a SE, doesn't look like a stealth. Did Getz ever use a ST? I don't believe so.

But the tapered area looks a little wide.

Definitely not an S17. Like TBL said the taper is way off. One of the defining features of the S17 is the elliptical taper which appears to be missing from the stick.

hey i know that store! ;)

and i honestly haven't taken a look at them close enough to determine what they are. All I know is they are not actual S17s.

If it's an Easton underneath, it's an SE. Both the ST and S17 have smooth finish while the SE carried over that nice bumpy finish the SL had, which is visible in the pictures.

Now if only Easton had other sticks and shafts in that nice textured finish. I love the feel of their stuff, but they need to add a third finish option of texture. I might have to go with a One90 texture grip shaft as my next option, especially if the AK27 nipple grip has the soft grip piss me off.

LHS had/s Heatley Vapor XXs, Vectors (whatever the original ones were) and Stealths (CNT, orig.) and they're all the same mid-heel wedges. YPs but more of a mid-heel if it makes sense.

omg really? Maybe this guy's talking about the curve Heatley actually uses on his sticks, which would be nothing like the retail one with his name. Brilliant.

I have a heatley blade and a signed vapor XX, the blades are extremely similar.

The first year he came to the sens he was using si-cores painted as stealths. My friend got one of his game used stealths and it felt super heavy. Then on the senators 'in the bag' segment they do on the radio the sens equipment guy said it was a si-core. I have no idea what he's using now but it doesnt suprise me it's not an s17.
