Team Canada World Junior Equipment

Recommended Posts

Just a note to anyone outside of Canada who might be looking at any of this gear...any money you contribute is only gonna help Team Canada kick yer butts again next year *L* :P

Drive those bids up high kids!

Ha ha <_<

Seriously, team Canada played a great tourney. Frankly the USA team needed a wakeup loss like the Swedes gave the Canucks. Their performances against Canada and the Ruskies were quite embarrassing. Mason was clutch in the Semis and Gold medal game.

I'm just trying to say that the money probably won't go towards new gear because there will be plenty of extra cash for other expenses. I know he was joking, I'm not even Canadian!

Uhm...I quoted myself there...just in case the joke was missed. :)

MLS...My GF lives in Kitchener, I was all excited when Mason got traded there, hoped to get to a few more games in the second half of the year...then he got called up. I wonder how long he'll stay...?

Heh...not for long...heard on Edmonton/Isles game today some talk about a possible emergency call up.

No sorry...I meant I wonder how long his "emergency" NHL call up will last.

If he plays like he did in his last 2 games...it will be long call up ;)

Well shit....I know I should have waited and got one of these instead of my Rbk. And I could have bought one of these if I didn't just buy a pair of Jordans. Son of a bitch.

Nice gloves pdiddy! I was considering on grabbing a pair of all nylon but it went too high.

Oh well, I did the damn deed and will be getting a certain pair of gloves in the next to near future. Went with a modified #4.

Glad I didn't bid. I prefer nylon all around. Not sure if you plan on using them but let us know how they feel.

same here, I was sure they were nylon!

Nice grab DarkStar did you try them on?

Is the fit very different from the one90?

The ONE90 fit is a stand alone fit, IMO, with the lycra glove palm. This glove fits similar to the 4 Roll but is beefier in the padding. The 4 Roll has that luxury feel with the inside padding pillows right into the fingers. This glove is built for high impact hockey. There are dual density foams below the plastic inserts to protect the hand from slashes. The Dura Soft Nash plam is single layer, unlike the retail XXXX Pro which as a second layer on the palm. The gloves are wicked light. The lycra gussets are a great feature for finger flexibility. I bought the gloves to use them. I wish they were nylon knit but that is not a problem in the end. They only made 20 pair for the team.

So they have lycra between the palms and foam? If so that's a big thumbs down!

Lycra is used in the gussets on the NBH Pro 4 Roll gloves. I was looking at my NBH Pro gloves tonight to confirm the gusset construction. The split fingers with lycra gussets flex very easily. It will also breath better than a nash gusset and dry quicker.

I like the combo gusset construction on the NBH Pro 4 roll, too. The best of both materials.

BTW, I think I paid $2 for the 71 Koho from the World Championships at an antique show. That was a nice find a few years ago.
