Mac Help

We have a G5 thats been sitting around unused for a couple months and all this talk of Macs has made me want to try it out. However theres a slight problem with it. Whenever its on the Systems Preferences display pops up. You can close it, but it keeps on popping up. Any suggestions? Thanks.

For a temporary fix I would just minimize it and forget about it....

I'm not a Mac expert but have you tried rebuilding the desktop?

No I have not. I haven't touched an Apple in years so I forget basically everything about them.

If you have a apple store near by bring it to them. They should know how to fix it.

When in the system prefernces type Apple key + H, that will hide it... a permanante fix would be selling it to me (ill make ya a good deal :) ) I cant think of anything it would be... what version of OS X are you using? Are you sure your closing it correctly? I foudn when I first started using an apple OS after using windows so long, I just x'ed things out, you have to go to "System Prefences" then to "Quit System Pref". Im serious about buying it thouigh if you are looking to move it though
