Can anyone that has worn these shins tell me if there is any truth to what's been said about the Crocs material ripping your leg hair out? I don't want to have to wear long pants under them if I decide to pick a pair up. Thanks!

I just pulled a pair off the shelf and put it on for a bit, flopped around the floor. It pulled a few hairs out and I'm a little sore. My legs are pretty hairy. I could provide pics, but that's just weird.

Also, the straps are pretty short, I've found which pulls the pad very tight. If I were to wear them in a game I'd just use a little more tape or elastic straps.

Thanks for the info and the product testing too. Now I'm even more undecided on if I should get them or not.

The last thing we need on here is a picture comparison between the hair on your legs and Drew's. LOL!!! Well, it's not like I have huge calves so the straps might not be an issue. Would you see as long as they aren't moving around too much it wouldn't be something to worry about with the hair?

Alright, so I took the plunge and got the shin pads from HG for $49. I got to try them out last night and I must say I'm really happy with them. They are a very tight fit which I wasn't used to. But, after I few minutes I really like them. I got hit with a few pucks (nothing serious) and no pain at all from the pucks.

The only downside is that they feel hot compared to what I had. But, I'll put up with a little more heat to have some more protection than I did.

Oh, and they didn't pull the hair out on my legs at all. It's not a sticky material so I don't see how it could. On top of that they don't really move around on my legs at all because of the snug fit.

the shin guards look ok, but you need to wear something underneath them between the pad and your leg or the Croc lining will rip the hair off your legs.

I should be getting a Sidewinder from the rep later this week. I'll update this weekend.

The shins also seem to run a bit small. I have the 14's and they fit more like 13's, both in length and width. One really nice thing, is that the croc's foam doesn't seem to absorb sweat; this keeps them from wearing out as fast as regular foam pads.

Someone had the fury aeroflex gloves at one of tonight's games. He liked them a lot, except he thought they were cut a 1/2 inch larger than he was accustomed too. I tried them on and the fingers were indeed longer than I expected (only a half inch or less shorter than I need in 13

s and I wear 14s!). I hope more people are willing to give them a try. I would but I just got a pair of supreme 70s. My modest glove collection is now at 4 pairs.
