Upright Lie

I starting playing forward again, I am a goalie, for the first time since mites...

I have been swapping out Modano (Forsberg) & sackic blades in my shaft trying to see which curve I perfer. I feel that the lie on both blades is to flat.

Does anyone know which lie these blades are?Can anyone recommend a pattern that will make the stick more upright?

Modano/Forsberg is a lie 5. Sakic lie 5.5.

If the tape on the bottom of your blade is wearing on the toe, you do need a higher (more upright) lie. Check the PATTERN DB for lie 7's.

the mission hatcher is a 7 lie off the top of my head

As I recall the old CCM Bonk curve was a 7 lie too. It might not be easy to find, but there are probably a few sitting around your LHS on a clearance rack...or maybe on eBay.

the warrior robitaille is a 6, and its to high for me, i have the opposite problem u have, my lie is to high, need to lower it.

My toe was wearing out on the modano and that is why I changed...

will the .5 on the sackic make much difference?

I went from a 5.5 Sakic to the 5 lie Forsberg. Made a world of different for my passing. It should be the same for you going the other way.

I haven't been able to find a bonk anywhere, it sucks.

I am going to retape the sackic blade tonight and see if the to toe wears out...

I am praying it does not becaues it appreas anything over a 5.5 lie is tough to find!

6 lie is somewhat plentiful if you go away from Easton. NikeBauer has quite a few, CCM Lecav, Thorton, a few from Sher-Wood.

check out some warrior 6 lie blades. The 6 is more like a 7
