Odd NHL Findings

Kinda found this odd, but does anyone know why Brandon Dubinsky is still using a Bauer helmet?

Sticker might have fallen off. I was looking at game used equipment from the Red Wings and there were a few Bauer helmets with half-peeling NikeBauer stickers on the forehead logo. Could have come off when it was getting wiped off.

The players and staff don't give a damn what the logo says, a lot of guys are still using 4000 helmets that have NBH stickers to keep the NHL and NBH from bitching about advertising costs.

Well, I noticed at the Youngstars Game and I thought maybe he forgot a helmet. Then noticed again today during the Canadiens game and just dug a little deeper.

Maybe he has a freakishly large or small head and they did not the NBH version in his size so he got a bauer left over

Looks normal to me. Maybe a S or M

* Height: 6-1 Weight: 210

<_< Maybe he just hates nike with a burning passion like i do. Maybe he's an anti-conformist who doesn't want hockey being commercialized by big corporations. Or maybe the sticker thing was right. lol

If that was the case I don't think he'd be wearing NBH ONE90's = P

Thats my height & weight and I wear an XL 4500... that was not an easy helmet to come buy

Maybe, but not for NHL teams.

I couldnt agree more... I just meant that I would assume M & L are the most common size and that the rangers probably have the most extras in that size...

if this guy needs an XS or something and no one else wears thats size...They may have not had extra helmets in that size and he got a buaer left over...

I remember seeing someone the other day using regular Bauer SDP gloves. I think it was either a Ranger or a Leaf.

Head bigger than a pumpkin lol, but I've seen Dubinsky in town and he doesnt have a huge head. He used to come to my practices when he was little, his dad was one of the assistant coaches on my team at the time.

Not sure if this is the right place to put this but I went to watch my girlfriend play at the weekend. After the game I was carrying her kit to the car when I noticed her stick.

It was a Pro-Stock XXX lite shaft with Moolay #94 on the nameplate. My reaction was, where the hell did you get a Ryan Smyth pro-stock shaft from! She didn't have a clue what it was or who 'Moolay' is but being a Islanders fan I nearly shit myself when I saw it.

The shaft fitted standard blades and had a silver section at the end of the shaft where the hosel would be inserted.

I don't know when it was from or if he ever used it as I don't ever recall him using XXX's but it was cool none the less.
