Any of you guys play with your brother?

I play with my brother. But he can't keep his head out of his ass long enough to actually admit that i'm better and that he still has a thing or two to learn.(Everyone always has a thing or two to learn).

I've only had a chance to play with my brother at pick-up and outdoor play, mostly due to the fact that he's significantly better than me. I tend to stay off the ice when he's on.

My brother and I have been on the same team for the last 8 years, and we've been on the same line some of the time. Some games we connect well and others, not so much. We normally have a pretty good idea what the other one's going to do, unless he's playing selfish or I'm playing stupid, but that doesn't happen as often as it used to.

The coolest thing though was playing on a line with my brother and our dad in a summer league.

Over the years, our team has had 4 sets of brothers playing, and one of the brother set's dad plays also.

There is nothing to the brother connection. It is simply a matter of playing with someone that you have played with a lot. When you take into account all of the pond hockey, street hockey and such, if you don't have an idea for where each other are then that would be strange.

I have two sets of brothers on my team. One set are defensemen and they can not play together. They'll bitch at each other until one of them finally gets fed up and ends up in an odd man rush the other way.

The other set are forwards and have an incredibly uncanny ability to read each other. I've never heard them talk. One of them has a big slap shot and wrister, the other is more of a grinding playmaker, together they are a hell of a team.

But if either of them are missing, or are playing on separate lines, you can see that they just aren't as comfortable.

Or someone who has two brothers and knows there isn't some weird psychic connection, just familiarity.

both my younger brother and i are defensemen and we'll regularly have that "other-worldly" mental connection as to where the other is on the rink. but to cast in my vote/opinion, yes, me and my brother have that randomly weird "connection."
