what type of sound? It could be something as monor as a piece of glue or loose material in the shaft. Take the butt end off, turn it up side down and tap it on the ground a few times to see if anything falls out.

This is an equipment question.

Did I not post it in the equipment section, if not, my apologies.

hrm, well if you can recall playing with a cracked/damaged wooden stick, that

"not solid" sound, kind of like vibrations....catch my drift?...like that.

I'm not using a but end, but i removed the tape from the end, and flipped it upside down, nothing in the stick...

cap or plug the stick and the sound will go down a bit. In my opinion, it will feel better too.

This may sound stupid, but what do i cap or plug with, can you buy wooden tips from the sport store, i wouldn't know, i've used wood all my life.

Thanks...

Normally, a stick comes with a cap or a plug. The cap is a little black piece that just sticks into the end. A plug is a piece of wood that extends the stick. You can insert the plug and cut it flush with the end of the stick.

I think the lack of air freeflowing through the stick helps with getting rid of the pingy sound and hollow feel.

Shitty, when I cut my stick ,I tossed the end, I believe it did have a cap too...

I'll put a few more tapes over the top, so it will stop the airflow..maybe that'll help, thanks though bud.

go to your LHS and get a wooden plug put in when you get a chance. And you can cut it to any length. It should help the sound a bit as TBLfan has said
