240 hour Hockey Game

Recommended Posts

A 240 hour hockey game? Geez, that seems to be overdoing it just a bit...

But seriously, no employer in the states would give an employee time off for this! Viva Canadia :D

Absolutely NUTS! But well worth it! Good Job to them!

I want to see the stats :) approx 5000 goals amongst the 40 players is one heck of a highlight!

The final score was 2,223 for Team Hope to 2,250 for Team Cure.

wow. a close one. :) Good job, Boys.

Thank god their charity was for actual cancer research and not just "awareness."

What happens to money raised for "awareness" anyway? I mean, it's not like there are too many people over the age of 12 in North America that aren't aware of cancer's existence.

Exactly. I'm not going to shout corruption on them or anything, but I have no idea why it's still needed.

I believe that 'awareness' money is generally raised for some specific cancer (breast, prostate, etc.) goes to the general fund of whatever institution is prominent in that field, rather than to some specific research project.

Simple things like advertising for women to get their mammograms on time and men to check themselves for lumps...making sure that people can identify possible cancer before it's too late can save a lot of lives.

Thats pretty amazing that they did it all with 40 players, I would have figured you would need 40 players per team, with 2 teams of 20 playing 12 hours at a time, but man those guys must be just dead to the world today.
