scorer75 9 Report post Posted March 7, 2008 Apparently, yes.I was unsure as well, but they confirmed that this was not a goalie shell I was ordering. The guy I spoke with on the phone said he uses these shells and is not a goalie. If you look at the Tackla website, they show a regular shell as one of their products. ddbowdoin 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2008 OK guys, I got it.Goalie Heaven in Toronto ordered a Tackla shell for me in Toronto colors which is a custom color. He charges $39.99 for the shell and does not charge anything extra to order a specific color, even custom. They have good feedback on Ebay, are a real store, and seem genuinely nice over the phone and through emails. He said he can get pretty much all other team colors for those of you that were looking, including Chicago, which I know someone in here was looking for.I have not receive the shell as he said it would take a few weeks to receive, but figured I'd give you a heads up in case you want to contact them about custom shells.does the shell have side stripes, I'm looking for a canadien shell and tackla makes a royal shell stock shell but the stripes would be amazingmind passing on the price?edit: just emailed them, hopefully will work out for me.... Ive looked EVERYWHERE!

malcb33 99 Report post Posted March 9, 2008 I just got this from Goalie heaven when I inquired about the Habs shells.Hi there,Tackla does not made shells. However we certinly can get a shell madeelsewhere with Montreal custom style. You're looking at between $40-60 fora shell depending on the manufacturer. Should not take more than a fewweeks.Let know what you thinkWeird, I know for sure that tackla makes shells, maybe he mean that they can't do the Habs style ones? Tackla does not make shells with NHL colors since they do not make the shells for any of the NHL teams. You can custom order any color you want from Tackla, including the side stripes. I ordered an XL and why the medium is not tight I believed it was a large and was looking for a little bit of a looser fit. I hav yet to wear it on ice but it looks huge2) the custom white/red stripe on the pant is larger than the design on the montreal pant but in general the shell is pretty damn sharpThey did a great job, the shell looks very strong and the CS was top notchGreat business, recommend to anyone looking for that extra touch on their gear

Joker518 0 Report post Posted April 9, 2008 I just tried on a bunch of shells and the TPS Shell in XL is very big. I have a 38" waist and a big ass but in a TPS the Large was a better fit. I ended up with a Tackla XL shell which was somewhere between the two TPS sizes
ddbowdoin 0 Report post Posted April 9, 2008 I think it should be alright, I can just wear the shell high (like it supposed to) I wear my medium low so the shell will hang below my knee
