One90 pain

Recommended Posts

For all the owners of one90's how many skates did it take to break the skates in, or even start feeling comfortable in them?

Also, will baking them again, help with break-in time?

so many I cant even count

I had to eventually devise a consistent way to tighten my skates

now, one year later... they're pretty good

I just bought one95's this morning though

Also, does your inner mid foot buldge a bit when done up? my laces arent in straight line....

thats where your navicular bone is, and yours if probably fairly prominent, you can get a small pocket for that if you need. or the boot might not be deep enough. one of the two

like I said before you can bake your skates for free @ sportcheck

and depending on store you can also do it yourself meaning one at a time, allowing to cool down for 20 mins etc - basically whatever you want :)

I can't remember How long for MissD... 8 or 10 skates any way I think. Killed her feet at first... especially midfoot. OldTrainerGuy worked on them a bit and then told her to put thicker socks on and go suck it up for I think 10 skates. Then they were the most comfortable skates she's ever had. Two seasons now and no problems at all.

Well I guess ill just suck it up, play like crap and be patient, lol

Well the boot feels deep enough for me, not at first, but ive sunken down after 4 skates to wear it feels okay ,and i imagine my foot will sink a bit more after more skates, now that i can tighten it a bit more its not buldging as much, but still is on the inner foot..wear as the opposite side is a straight line.

Coming from quest 4's you'll for sure feel the difference in stiffness. It took me 2-3 weeks to break them in + superfeets and a year and a half later these skates are still comfortable.

how many skates roughly did it take? also, what are the benefits of superfeets?

Also, has anyone else had irratation from the tongue on the outer ankles? I've been going barefoot and ive been taping up my left outer ankle but it still kills from the tongue rubbing against the side of my foot.

i have a cut/scab going on, hurts like a mofo!

I was on the ice 2-3 times a week. Superfeets align your feet with the rest of your body and add arch support.

1) bringin' back an old topic, just got a pair of barely used one90 skates, (coming from xxx's) and the top (from arch to top of where toes begin) of my left foot is killing me, Saturday night (1 1/2 hrs) I loosened the laces at the bottom and tighter at ankle, still had the pain, tonight (1hr) tried them again same thing, only the left foot feels this pain, will baking them take care of this?

2) why does it feel like im skating on less steel on the ice (feeling unstable) lol..

TIA

i dont mean to change the skate topic or anything but i still have that pain on the outside of my foot after skating for about 6 months on ccm tack 652. i had bought new cheap i think around 92 out the door, sharpened, baked the whole deal from my local peranis. i only play once maybe twice a week. and maybe some a touch more during stick and puck. but try not lacing them as tight. that helps me. also it could mean that your forefoot is too wide for the skate i would think..but then again i could be talking out of my ass. i cant even skate right now as i was playing and stopped on a opposing players stick blade and broke my leg in about 7 different spots and now have a 8 inch plat ein my leg.. but anywho.. just keeping skating in them and try a touch looser lacing.!
