Mia MB22

Recommended Posts

Hello, I got Mia Mb22's for Christmas from my local PIAS. It was a going out of business sale and they were 50% off. Now, they have a Nash palm with double layering through part of the palm, and after only 1 and a half months of use there is a rip through both layers so that my palm is showing. I am wondering if this is common for a Nash palm to rip easily, if I should send them to MIA, or if I should get them re-palmed. It's not like I can return them because the store is now shut down, and I don't know if the warranty is void because of the big sale. Thanks in advance for any help you might have.

I went right through the Nash palm in my MB-33's. If you get it repalmed....I would recommend the MSH2 palm. Similar feel to the Nash without the crusties, and more durable also.

Thanks, yeah I will have to check out MSH2, I noticed TBLfan speaking very highly of them in a different thread, I guess it is pretty common for rips/holes/tears to appear in the Nash palm, it just sucks because 3 times a week on the ice for 1 and a half months is not very long.

Would MIA replam the gloves for free or at least stand by their work? From what I've been reading it seems TBLfan sent his gloves back to eagle for them to be repalmed for free.

Also I thought MSH2 was an eagle palm, at least the MSH1 is...

Eagle will only repalm for free if the deem it to be a manufacturer defect. If they feel it's just normal wear and tear, you gotta go through fixitbymail.com to get them repalmed. TBL's MSH2 gloves are the custom ones he just got brand new a week ago.

Did the palms rip like where the layers come together or at the gussets, or did you just wear through them. If the holes are just from wear, you're probably out of luck. I've had my nash palms in my MIA's since june and I'm not through the first layer yet. I don't think they'll replace just because your hard on equipment.

give MIA a call in Montreal, they will gladly help you, no doubt there!

Im sure with your receipt they will fix the problem for you.

I had mustang palms on MB22 and it took me over 300 games to through the first layer, and it just ripped no holes yet.

Didn't want to start a new topic so I'll ask my question(s) here. I took a year off from college and now I'll be heading back and playing for my school again and I'm looking into some custom MB22's made with Tufftek and Nash palms. Right now I'm wearing pro stock rbk's (seen in my avatar) size 14 and I find them to be a little too long limiting my wrist movement. I notice that MIA doesn't have 13.5" in the customizing options and I'm wondering how their sizes run compared to my pro stock rbk's. Also, how is MIA as far as delivery time on MTO gloves?

Well I am not sure about the length, but whatever you do stay away from the nash palm!

You can get more done than what is shown on the customizer. Just call them and ask. Also the mb33 fits more like a 13.5 so they might suit you just fine.

I'm not sure if I would like the longer twist cuff on the 33's, I'll have to look into it more. I'll give them a call and see about a 13.5 in the 22's. Do you know how long it generaly takes them to make and ship out a custom pair? Thanks for the help.

I really like their gloves, but not a fan of the nash palms. Went with Eagle CP92s for that reason..as well as the unbelievable quality of the glove. MSH2 is the best palm in my opinion.
