Reparing a chipped blade

How do you do it anhat do you use to do it? It's been getting pretty bad as of late.

If it helps, I'm using an 05 Stealth OPS.

Depends on how bad its chipped or if you still have the chip? You can try epoxy or fibreglassing it?

It just chips a little and it stays on the ice, just little pieces, but it's been catching up with me and it's pretty bad now. Not sure how to epoxy or fibreglass it.

You can use epoxy to fill the gaps but I think fibreglass works better. Epoxy is just a two part glue so I am sure you can figure that one out? As for firbeglass just ask someone at the hardware store or search google? Its pretty easy to do.

My friend used to use heel and toe guard on his composite blades. I don't know if it helped. Just throwing it out there.

If it's a small chip, I use JB Weld and a lot of sanding.

do these methods work for the ends of a rounded toe blade, my s17 is starting to ship away at the toe... pissing me off a little bit now

Tape the whole damn thing

I use epoxy(unless its under warranty). Always tape the entire blade. Helps keep the chipping to a minimum.

yeah I tape the entire blade and toe, I also try to use some wax to keep some of the water out of the crack

put some epoxy on it tape it up good and dont think about.
