strosedefence34 175 Report post Posted March 10, 2008 usually when you go to set it up it asks if you want to transfer stuff from a windows. I have never done it because there is nothing I want to transfer over, but if you didn't do that then I'm not sure.

wickedwrister 0 Report post Posted March 11, 2008 Is there a way to transfer things like my email address book etc.. over to the Mac from Windows Vista? Are you on a wireless network?I am wireless at home. I found out that I could have had it done at the Apple Store when I bought it, but did not have my old pc with me because I did not know I was going to buy when I walked in. Worse come to worse is a transfer of a hundred or so email address by hand. That's the only thing I was really trying to avoid. Everything else I saved to CD. I am not really a fan of a stranger going through my computer anyway as my whole financial life is on it. Been messing with this new MacBook (2.4G model) all day. Very cool so far. I see why they say "Once you have Mac, you never go back".!
wildebeest 0 Report post Posted March 11, 2008 condense your windows address book to a .vcf file, email it to yourself, then check your email on the mac and import the file into your address book.
