cutting it isn't a problem. Cutting at the right place is :D

Personally, i have a blade ready to go into mine if it were to break, and i wouldn't want to pay someone to cut my stick, I want to do it myself

If the SRS is a no-go, I'd just finish the break and pull the 2 pieces apart.. Feel on up inside to see if you can feel whereabouts the hosel of the blade inserted ends. Or you could sand off some paint in the general area and look for the profound line where shaft/blade meet. Then you can cut away, and dremmel/chisel.

My brother did this with an older RBK 7K (non-Sickick)... bought a tapered blade, and asked them to cut the broken one off for insertion. They came back and said "This blade dosen't fit in the butt end" and they had cut way too high for the tapered to fit... he had to argue his way into getting his $$ back.

while we're on this topic of the Sickick, can anyone tell me where to cut the shaft to fit a tapered blade? I fear my blade is about to go and I would like to know where to cut beforehand if i do cut the blade off if it breaks

lol just was about to post that question you read my mind ont he internet..

That question is on page One! We all await an answer.

Although..."cut it slowly in stages until the blade fits" is most likely what we will end up hearing.

Before you start cutting, give customer service a call. You never know until you ask.

I really dont understand why people would still use a taper ops and once the taper is ruin and people flip their shaft over they won't get enough kick right? Whats the point..
