Sakic Curve

Recommended Posts

so what is the rbk curve? datsyuk? or is it crosby now?

would it still be datsyuk on the o stick

datsyuk is similar, crosby is closer to the sakic ..

How do the lies differ between all the clones? Not just the listed lie but how do they actually play like?

I've been going through the Sakic clones trying to find the right lie. Below is what I've found to be the case.

Sakic = 5.5

Naslund (p92)= 6

Rafalksi = Slightly lower than the Naslund, less overall rocker to the blade

Sher-Wood JS = About halfway in between the Sakic and Naslund

Christian (think its pattern 5) = Higher than Naslund

Datsyuk = Lower than Sakic

How does the lie, face & rocker of Warrior's Draper curve compare with an Easton Sakic & the clones mentioned above???

Much appreciated!

The Warrior Lie's are definantly off. I've had both Warrior lie 4 & 5's so here is my experiances:

Warrior LIE 4 = Easton 5

Warrior LIE 5 = Easton 5.5

Warrior LIE 6 = Easton 6-6.5 (haven't had a 6 myself, so this one is guess)

Face and Rocker are = Easton , regardless of lie.

Ughhh I searched for a half hour and couldn't find it. I am going to be getting a mybauer X:60. Is the regular p92 or p92 lie 5 closer to a Draper lie 5 from Warrior?

i had a one95 standard blade in a p92 lie 6 and am currently playing a dolo draper lie 5. the lies are about equal i'd say on both blades.

I use both patterns (the p92 - lie 6 and Draper lie 5). I don't notice a difference when I switch between them.

Nope, as TBLfan said it is a P92.

P106 = Gagne, Linden

P91 = Kovalchuk

P92 = Naslund

P10 = Bure, old Gagne

PM9 = Hossa, St. Louis, Malkin

P88 = Lindros

P71 = Peca, Clark

P73 = Tverdovsky

P02 = Samsonov, Pronger

That is all that I can recall off the top of my head...

Wow, really? when? and TPS' equivalent so Sakic would be Afinogenov more than Nash... then again TPS is very inconsistent it seems

Reebok's sakic cone is the H11, I bought one.

When the 11K and the rest of the new Reebok stick line comes out in October, the Crosby P87A Pattern will be an exact clone of the Sakic.

Afinogenov = Coffey/Yzerman

Nash is relatively the closest, although its a heel. You could say that there isn't any equivalent.

It basically started out as the Sakic but turned into something else along the way (if that's what you mean by inconsistent), just like the Crosby did.

No by inconsistent I mean I've had three Nash blades so far and none of them had the same curve.

FWIW, to help out anyone that might be looking to pick up a rbk crosby pattern expecting a sakic (this is of course limited to the 10K I got this past summer, not the new 11K) that though the crosby I have is listed as a 7 lie by rbk, the lie is actually identical to my p92 int. one95 which bauer lists as a 5.5.

I really wish companies could at least be consistent w/ lie if not curve. I understand it may be difficult due to varying rockers but man, staying consistent across the board cannot rely on even company listings.

Apparently the only way to know for true is to compare curves/lies on person. Sucks for anyone that doesn't have a LHS that stocks odd/unpopular patterns, i.e. I have never, in person seen a vanek retail pattern though I am intrigued in trying one.

P.S. Back on topic. My crosby seems more like a mid-heel (more mid) than a mid-toe. Then again my vision is merely 20-40 so take my observation w/ a grain of salt.

That's what I was saying.

It was tweaked every year for the last 2~3 years.

Ahah, dude I swear the sticks were THE SAME! Three identical TPS Adrenaline, except the curves were slightly different
