I don't disagree that he's an amazing defenceman, and I can definetly see him in the top 10 but in my oppinion he's not, but I want him to validate how he is so good that it should be without a doubt.

Frankly, I'm sure there are a lot of defenceman back before WWII who are better than lidstrom.

First off, please don't sling around insults.

Secondly, he's been extremely good for a very long stretch. He's been the most consistent D-men over the past decade and has every reason to be extremely high. He has individual, team and International success. He's performed as the star and as a secondary partner. He can be a shutdown D-man, an offensive d-man or both. He's capable of being, and usually is, the best player on the ice each every night. Not many players can say that. It's very hard to come up with someone who has a better resume and a better impact on their team than Lidstrom.
