Mission vs. Itech products

Recommended Posts

I have taken one too many pucks to my chest and have decided that my old Kohos are done.

I am looking into Mission Fuel series and have tried on the new Itech 955s.

I love the feel of the Itech and was wondering if the Mission / Itech relationship had any impact on these pads? I would hate to spend extra money on the Mission if in essence they were the same pad.

same designers.... the Itech 955 line has been very popular amongst my dealers. i am a big fan of the 955 line as well. if you like the way the SP955 fits.... what is the issue?

I have the Itech 655. Awesome shoulder pads but I must warn you your jerseys are going to get stuck at the top of the spine protector when you're putting it on. I tried on Mission Fuel shoulders at the same price point and they felt cheaper and had less protection than the Itechs.

Anyone know how the shoulder caps compare to a pair of Nike V7 shoulders.

I have been looking into the mission / itech pads as well, looking at the pictures they look quite a bit smaller and less bulky.

Any input?

That's why I like them.

Anyone have experience with the Itech 255 shoulders?

Using the 5030's right now, but looking for something with a bit more abdominal protection and with better material (the cloth absorbs so much sweat that these things smell terrible). Wondering if anyone's using them, can comment on how warm/cool they are on ice, how they hold up?

255 is part of our Learn To Play product. it has a solid reputation for being overbuilt and an all around bang for the buck product.

Good to hear. It's also the only cheap shoulder pad out there that fits me. Strange that there aren't more pads that accommodate guys with wide shoulders and narrow waists.

Throw your 5030s in the laundry and the smell will go away.

255s will do what you want from them.
