thestonesrolling 0 Report post Posted April 14, 2008 I have been looking around for a visor and came across the jofa pro200 visor (pro stock) at hockeymonkey, just wondering if anyone had some input regarding this puppy. I dont even know how it would look mounted, so if anyone knows of players that use this visor I could search for some pics. Basically any info would help. Thanks
Ivan 1 Report post Posted April 14, 2008 I believe this one should be coming with a clamp. HM doesn't sell the clemp with the visor. They used to have more models and that (doesn't come w/the clamp) was stated in the discription
Brokensticks 0 Report post Posted April 14, 2008 I use that model right now. I got it from a Peoria Rivermen equipment sale back at the end of the 2003-04 season. Screws on both sides of the helmet, no clamp needed. Many (maybe all) of the Rivermen wore that style that season. I love the visor. Never have had a single problem with it fogging up on me. I've been thinking about ordering another as a back up when this finally gets a bad scratch on it but playing more than 2 years now and haven't had one yet that hasn't been completely removable. Just waiting now for the need to order something else on HM for a reason to order the extra visor along with it.

It was mentioned on HM site that it didn't come with the clamp
Brokensticks 0 Report post Posted April 14, 2008 It well may be the visor could be used without the clamp. It was mentioned on HM site that it didn't come with the clampMy visor was still new in the box and it didn't come with a clamp either. I don't think you need one at all. I wear a CCM 692 helmet and I haven't so far and I've been kicked in the face while diving to poke check a guy on a breakaway in roller hockey. I have a couple of 8x10's tacked up in my cube at work of Randy Rowe and he didn't have clamps on this visor when he wore it in 03-04.

Hockeyman11385 1 Report post Posted April 15, 2008 That's a strange looking visor. Does anybody have pictures of it mounted on a helmet?
Brokensticks 0 Report post Posted April 15, 2008 Not quite. The one in the auction has some kind of decal at the top in the middle and does not have a straight cut bottom.Mine has slightly smaller Jofa decals on either corner by the screw holes.(Pardon the dirty shield. I haven't cleaned it since last night's game.)
AndTheySayChiCity 0 Report post Posted April 15, 2008 it almost looks as if its mounted upside down.. maybe that's just me. looking at the first pic posted (above)it looks.. straight across on the bottom..then like the Oakley visor that Heatley wears on top. does that make sense?interesting.. Oakley currently has a visor like the Jofa.
schrempsky 0 Report post Posted April 15, 2008 from what i remember reading, jofa copied the oakley design or something like that, so jofa can no longer sell their visor that looks like the oakley, and rbk must market oakley visors for them.
ultraman7k 0 Report post Posted April 15, 2008 that's the oakley 2.0 no?
thestonesrolling 0 Report post Posted April 15, 2008 it might just the picture on HM but the Jofa compared to the 2.0 seems smaller, maybe since it is a pro stock its modified to be cut a little shorter?
AndTheySayChiCity 0 Report post Posted April 15, 2008 that's the oakley 2.0 no?yeah.. it retails for $110 (http://www.hockeymonster.net/oa20viclr.html). :o but most places online have them for $50-70. i'd much rather wear the pro mod straight cut (or straight small) or pro mod aviator both without vents. VECHKIN08 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2008 I bought this visor for the price...as of now it's sitting in my closet. My only beef with it is it's ugly as sin. It just looked retarded on my 892 bucket so I had to ditch it. Clarity and lack of fogging seemed good, just like any other quality visor, but for the price tag you can't go wrong.
