fitted hats

Recommended Posts

Ever since these one size fits all hats i havent been able to ware a hat. why? Because one size fits all doesnt fit me. Jr's are too small and Adults are too big. My gf bought me a eally nice hate, but like usual it doesnt fit. Is there any way to shrink them? Quite a while ago i drenched one in water then through it in the dryer. That didnt work. Iam assuming i should have been more carefull with it. Any ideas?

Depends on material. Old school "real" baseball hats would work that way, but it'd probably shrink too much. I would soak it and wear it and it'll form to your head. The ones with combo materials probably won't change shape any more.

If it's too tough sometimes I'll cut out the buckrum but for the most part some water and mushing works well. Then a baseball under the brim for curve.

Problem with me since no hair, the hat would crease. When I stripped it out it fits better - but can go down 1/8".

I always miss threads when I would cut it out and hated that. I have some small minor creases near the panels but all my hats are formed to my head's shape after being beat to hell.

You gotta man up and wear the smaller size until it stretches to fit.

There's a trick where you can stretch it over your knee if it's a little too small (it's on youtube, but I couldn't find it). And if it's a little bit too big, you can roll up a piece or two of paper towel, and put it inside under the sweatband to fill up some space.

Mine too actually. I had some hats sitting around unworn for years before I found that. I'm in between sizes with new eras - a 7 3/4 is too small, but 7 7/8 is too big, and way too hard to find in stores (I know my head is the size of the earth, by the way). The 7 3/4 is now my size, and I'm walking around in a Montreal Expos hat that looks like I just bought it yesterday because it was too tight all that time.

Breathed new life into my three Red Sox caps that got too tight after sweating in them. Now they fit better than my mom's muff.

Creepy, but still untrue.
