Bauer Supreme 70 skates any good?

Recommended Posts

Well I have the opportunity to get a pair of these for about $200. Are these a decent pair of skates for a 27 year old guy to use for stick and puck, pickup games. and lower level league games? They seemed like a good deal but I have been out of the loop for a couple years. Looks like most places are sellig them for about $300 and they used to cost even more than that. Thanks in advance for the help.

If they fit your foot and your budget then go for them. They're going for $300 now because they're going to make way for the new ONE75.

Like mickz said, if they don't fit correctly then it's not a bargain at any price. I know two people who have them. One absolutely loves them and recommended them to the other guy when he needed new skates.

The other guy is having problems with blisters, etc because they aren't meant for his foot.

I have a pair that are a year old now, and they're starting to hurt like hell, mainly because my foot has grown. Aside from my foot growing, it's a great skate. The only downside I saw on them was the LSP holder, I hated it.

This is my first post so please bare with me. I bought the supreme70's 8 months ago, i liked them a lot. I only had 2 issues with them.

1) i was starting to develop callusses on my Big toe, there was a lot of pressure put on it but the toe cap. I'm assuming maybe it was the shape of my foot. but prior to the supreme70's i was using CCM SuperTacks 1152s, and before the that CCM tacks 652 pump skates.

2) Both tendon guards snapped and provide no support. It wasn't a big deal, i was just hoping that it would cover the back of my foot which it does.

I've moved onto RBK 9Ks which i'm liking a lot. But if they Supreme70's fit me better, and didn't give me blisters/callusses, i probably would have stuck w/ them or upgraded to the 0ne90s.

For two hundred bucks their not a bad deal if they fit your feet well. Just remember though there where issues with the tendon protectors breaking off on the One90's and Supreme 70's so that's one defect to be aware of. Great looking and performing skates.

same with me. Also one of my tendon guards snapped and started to protrude towards my foot which started to tear up my socks and skin which hurt. i was forced to tape it.

i don't like the holders either

If they fit your feet go for it, $200 is a steal for those skates. I've sold quite a few pair in the last two years and we've had almost no warranty issues with them.

I've been skating in these for the last 7 or so months. Absolutely love them. Haven't had any problems other than i felt too much on my heels, but got em profiled and they are perfect.
