most of the models I have looked at seem pretty similar. I've only been able to look at them in the catalogue not in person.

The Quick Square looks the same as the BR100 and BR200 which all look similar to Edgechecker.

What are the differences?

The QS is now being sold by Blademaster. They now call it Pro Square.

and the differences between that and the other models are?

The BR100 (Pro Square) and BR200 (Skate Gauge) look the same and there is no information in the Blademaster catalogue to say otherwise.

Look at the lines.

Pro Square has more lines - 1/1000" difference.

The Skate Gauge is more for a consumer to check (like that Edgechecker you put up) whereas the Pro Square is for sharpeners.

The trick is to put electrical tape on the magnetic angle - too many shops don't, and you develop a groove in the metal, and give you a false reading. With the electrical tape, it scratches up the tape, and just replace it every couple of weeks.

The Batgage is an interesting concept - I remember when Steve showed it me a couple of years ago. It's cool because you can use it while mounted on the skate holder, but IMO not practical for shops with kids who are clumsy - too many delicate parts.

Will the electrical tape still work if your magnetic angle is already scratched up or is it best to buy a new angle and just be diligent with the tape?
