No, She'll make fun of you once she undresses you with a deke coming out of nowhere and ends up on a breakway beating your goalie low stick side  These women can play so take them seriously!!! :D

Based on my experience with playing with elite women players, there is a pretty big drop off in talent after the top eight or so players.

I agree. I play against several D1 and Olympic women players in my adult leagues up here in MN. They are obviously above average players, but no better (90% of the time worse) than an average varsity mens player.

Honeslty, the girls your gonna be playing are pretty good. Physically their no match for guys, but play wise and hockey sense they can sometimes be pretty good and way better then guys.

Ive never seen you play, but they wont make you look bad!

good luck, and If im not playing, Ill be watching you :P

TEAM USA practiced in my home rink last summer and most of the girls were from top d1 programs like wisconsin. After seeing some of those girls play some of them really stand out but in general the pace is a little slow.

I've played with several girls from the McGill varsity team...not Kim St- Pierre though.

They were technically usually very strong skaters, had very good hockey sense, and played excellent positionally. I would imagine the Olympic level would be a pretty big step-up, it would be interesting to play a competitive game against them at that level.

A girl from our school played D-1 at Boston College, she's really talented. One of the top players in the HE womens league. I give the womens game a lot more respect after she came back to skate with us this year.

I had the chance to do that in a fundraiser game this winter, I must of seen 20 McGill games this year, including nationals in Ottawa.

The calibre is pretty close to Midget Espoir/AAA without body contact.

i watched mcgill destroy concordia this winter. their passing game is just sick compared to men's league. thats the thing id watch out for especially. as long as u keep them to the outside, it should be fine. not to be sexist but in general girls dont snipe as well or shoot nearly as much.

They also have smaller brains, though I'm not trying to be sexist.

for most of the girls its true. But some of them have shots as strong/precise as a lot of guys.

Feel free to jot my phone number on the puck for her ;)

Have fun and enjoy the game! Should be a pretty memorable experience.

what i meant is that in lots of situations where I would have shot the puck, they'd pass off, even in the slot the mcgill girls look for tic-tac-toe options instead of just drilling one on net. they shoot less as a fact, probably because they just dont have as much confidence in that part of their game in general but also due to the non-contact nature of the game (more time/space to make plays).
