Juice_Slowjamz 0 Report post Posted July 1, 2008 Can anyone explain how to create a backup dvd of my Macbook Pro? I want to have a boot disk just in case something goes horribly wrong, but I have no idea how to. Google was useless.
kovalchuk71 212 Report post Posted July 1, 2008 I think the only way to back it up is by using Time Capsule.

troy 12 Report post Posted July 1, 2008 Not to jack, just didn't feel like starting another thread. I've dropped my new MBP twice from about 3 feet onto the floor, should I be concerned about anything?

strosedefence34 175 Report post Posted July 1, 2008 does it still work? if so then if something goes funny you will notice it. My mom knocked my powerbook off of an end table that was about 3 feet high on to the floor and it was fine.

TheBert 0 Report post Posted July 1, 2008 Haven't used Time Capsule, but SuperDuper has worked fantastic for me for the past 6 years. The name makes you feel like you ought to be doing your computing in a cafe in San Francisco though.

Also, does anyone use .mac, soon to be mobileme, is it useful at all?I had .mac when i bought my first computer years ago and found it to be a waste of money and I never used it. My friend on the other hand loves it and uses it all the time. I guess it depends on who you are. I don't need an email or to make websites the only thing I need is to back up my files and I use time machine and my external for that.
