Whats up with Hanks blade?

Recommended Posts

Dont know much more about it other than I bet we will see a few of them in Oct. with a holiday release I bet. Its that time of the year. On the other side of things, I wonder if this new SE16 stick will continue to use the same shaft that the SL and SE shared.

As commented in the Step Steel thread..he is using a pretty tricked out piece of steel made by Steep Steel....so unless Easton has changed something...

Not that I know anything about the new blade, but it would cool to see a blade with an elliptical hosel shape. But I don't know if its to soon for Easton to push that technology into 2 piece sticks.

I'm not sure that the elliptical hosel blade would have the same effect as the S17, unless easton produced an elliptical taper shaft. They some-what did that with the synthesis, so that the blades would be the best fit into their shaft, rather than competitor's. Interesting idea though.

The S17's elliptical profile goes into a square-ish shape, so why couldn't the S16 blade have a longer elliptical style hosel and fit into a tapered shaft?
