Homemade shims?

What can I use from say Home Depot or Lowes to make shims? Or is there something around the house? I dont want to pay the rediculous amounts some sites want.

Yes - you might to apply several layers to get your desired thickness.

Body Filler Spreaders and pvc fs electrical box covers work also depending on thickness needed.

You can just go buy a small sheet of Lexan from Home depot. It worked great for me, probably the best modfication I've ever done.
