I don't know of anyone who participated in it, I think it was only Canadians since there was only tryouts for the show in cities across Canada. I'm not sure where your located but it was shot in Vernon, BC which is about 40-45 minutes out of Kelowna.

It was a joke. Guys holding on to old dreams. There were some guys in their 30's trying to "make the cut"

You know what you got for being one of the final ones.....a chance to "try out" for a NHL team. Like they have a chance.

The friends of mine that play in the pros think its hysterical.

Mike Mole goalie for St. Fx University made the final five goalies. I saw him at the CIAU nationals and man was this guy stellar!

This show is definitely not a joke, the final I think 60 they pick? are going to be top flight hockey players. I already know Kevin Cooper from Middlebury was picked, and he's nasty.

There was a commercial for The Cut during last night's WC game and it had mainly tryout clips of terrible players. They had guys talking about how they just started playing in their mid 30's, how they're breaking in a brand new pair of skates, goalies falling while taking a drink, guys sliding into the boards... they're making it look like a joke. Maybe they grouped applicants as "serious" or "joke" 'cause the session I participated in was as serious as a heart attack. It was no cake walk either, it felt like we were trying out for Team Canada. I saw two guys leave the session early and there may have been more. Most of the guys were former OHLers, and we were all very capable players. I was rendered immobile for days and I'm sure I wan't alone. It's no joke. I hope CBC doesn't continue to play it up as such.

I think it was kinda like the Bloopers session, kinda like the really bad singers on American Idol have their own show to make people laugh.
