CCM Vector U+ Initial Thoughts

I'm wondering if I buy a pair of U+ locally, which are obviously going to be the 08 model, would ccm replace them with the 09 model if/when the liner starts tearing prematurely? I'd love to give these a shot as they seem very deep but I'm leery of trying them with the reports of issues.

Most likely yes, I've heard rumors that CCM is trying to recall the 08 models that were sold to stores and replace them with the 09 models. Just a rumor though, and I can't confirm it yet.

Could i not buy the recalled vector u+'s "not knowing" and then return them for the new ones?

They won't be officially recalled, I heard them saying that whatever isn't sold at stores is getting replaced with the new ones.
