The Chicago Blackhawks have called a press conference for Friday afternoon where they will introduce Scotty Bowman as their new senior advisor, hockey operations.

Bringing in Scotty Bowman for any position in an organization is a good thing. Good for Chicago.

The organization has been doing a lot of good things lately. As long as Bowman is there to help put on the finishing touches and not overhaul the franchise, this is another good move. It's amazing how many good things have happened to this franchise since Bill Wirtz died.

We've heard ltos of talk about how much Tampa has done to improve this off season, but Chicago takes the prize in that category (in my mind anyways).

Any word if Bowman will still be in contact with/help the Red Wings at all? (not that he can really do that) I just can't see him not being part of the Red Wing's organization...good luck to him in Chi-town!!

I highly doubt that he will still Advise in Detroit, now that Chicago is paying his bills!

Like Chadd said there has been lots of positive movements from the Hawk's organisation since Rocky took over. It seems like they actually want the fans to support the franchise and have made the moves to make that happen. I'm not a fan of the Hawks, but i think it's good for the league that such a big franchise which has been in such a sorry state recently is on the way up again.

he is no longer apart of the wings. he can't work for both. esp since their in the same conference.
