gerbe3:16 19 Report post Posted August 3, 2008 I got mine!I seriously am not going to the Detroit FF (maybe a 1% chance if BC makes it). Bad destination city (no offense to you Detroit folks) and they're playing it in a football stadium. Freaking stupid. Who decided to pick this as a host?I wouldn't worry about getting tix for next year's, though, given it is in a football stadium. Speaking of Detroit and the lottery, they will not be giving out priority to NEW lottery entrants next year. Only people with at least a prior priority point. So to keep priority going, I may still buy one ticket and try to dump it in hopes of getting tix for the lottery in St. Paul for 2011 (which might be a tough ticket even with a high priority). I'm actually looking forward to fun and sun in 2012 in Tampa. It's been freezing the past few FFs.
Ogie Oglethorpe 14 Report post Posted August 3, 2008 I find the whole process a bit of a racket - you pre-pay approximately 1 year in advance, they take MONTHS and MONTHS to make the selections (all the while keeping your deposit and earning money on it), even after they make the selections, they take ANOTHER month to return your money... oh, less the application fee. And? You pay the same amount for seats if you were on the glass or if you were in the last row in the bleeders (which is where mine were in Denver). Anyone else notice, by the way, the post mark date on the envelope is earlier than the date on the rejection letter? Mine says it was mailed 7/30 yet in the letter they date it 8/1 - guess that way it doesn't seem as silly that they won't pay you back until September?Gripes aside, I wonder how much $$ they make off of the whole thing for those who don't make it? Gummer12 134 Report post Posted August 4, 2008 FF at Ford would be sweet, yet sucky at the same time. Can't imagine it being anywhere near as exciting as say JLA. Unless they throw up some bleachers on the floor which I Doubt

JR Boucicaut 3801 Report post Posted August 6, 2008 Actually, if they use the same setup they did for the NCAA Tournament, it can work for hockey.

JR Boucicaut 3801 Report post Posted August 6, 2008 http://www.tickco.com/pages/venuemap.aspx?...id=1&size=lThey need to tweak the seat angles so that it works with hockey because of the boards.
