NBH Branded Product

This is a heads-up post to any guys who like or are thinking of buying any NBH branded product this season. As a dealer I have access to the NBH business website for product, checking inventory, and placing orders. Lately, in the shop, when checking product availability for customers, we are seeing more NBH branded product(current 2nd season Supreme product line and NBH 4 roll gloves as examples) running to zero inventory with late 08 delivery dates. Once this NBH branded product is sold out, it will be out for good. Therefore, if there is a ONE90 shin pad or Supreme 70 elbow pad, as an example, that you are thinking of buying, don't wait too long. We often talk in the shop about which piece of equipment do you wish you had another one of, since the equipment is no longer available. For me, I would love another pair of Bauer Vapor 6 pants, black, size medium. Well, that isn't happening! But those ONE90 elbow pads may be something to get soon before they are gone for good! Because I can't find another pair of Nike V-14 elbow pads ! Sometimes you wait thinking the next line of equipment will be better and just what you need to replace what you've got. Then you find out it's too late. Don't wait this time.

I know Bauer was purchased so will they resume putting new products out under the Bauer name or will there be an undisclosed period of time where they don't make anything?

yeah, lately i've been debating whether or not i should pick up another NBH 4500 lid. i can't imagine bauer going back to the same exact logo as the 4000s.

Going back to the example, the 2nd season supreme line and 4-roll gloves which are running to zero inventory. What about newer NikeBauer products like the Vapor XXXX gloves or even the Supreme One75 wood stick; will those continue to be NikeBauer branded, or will they be Bauer branded products eventually?

The reason why this is happening is because if Bauer were to rebrand everything back, the NBH products would be considered outdated and therefore closed out, hurting dealers in the process.

Sorry if this has been answered in another thread, but I was wondering if Nike will still be making hockey equipment with just the Nike logo on them, or are they leaving the hockey industry completely?

No, they will still be doing team sports apparel (IIHF)

Read what I said -

If they put "Bauer" on a 4-roll, then the Nike/Bauer ones are obsolete. When that happened last time, dealers were pissed because now they had Bauer Vapor XX from the previous year and Nike/Bauer Vapor XX gloves, and those who bought the closeout Bauer ones were able to mark them down, even though it was the exact same glove. So, by allowing the product cycle to complete itself with the NBH logo, it can just go away. That's why it was important for them to retain the Swoosh for the 18 mos after the sale.

I'm sure at some point, if the 4-Roll stays in the line, they will have to switch back to Bauer - that'll most likely be the exception to the whole thing, as well as helmets. But they have a year to do it.
