Pro return NCAA pants

Recommended Posts

not quite the same as the NHL pro ones, those ones are just basically armour plates for your legs and hips

those ncaa pants are lighter but still have good protection

i've had customers say that it was way too much pant for them

They dont look like 520s. I'd need to see more pics.

You're right- my bad, I was distracted by dinner.....

Interesting pant though- more pics are definitely in order.

I actually just got my pair from them, they are basically a mhp520echl pant, withouth the tag on the inside saying they are. They are really nice though and I didnt think they were very heavy at all. No logos on the hip guards and just the boxed in vector logo on the leg. They have leg zippers and they are a two piece pant. And next to my new reebok penguins mhp520echl they seem exactally the same. Nice pant, good protection.

They're good pants. I also bought a pair not too long ago and coming from a girdle, almost anything would feel like I have too much padding on. I like how it's not too flashy (no racing stripes) and not too heavy at all.

These are also 2-piece pants by the way!

Looking more at them, they don't appear to be the more common 520 pro pant in the NHL. But they have bits and pieces of a few different, older models. I can't tell but it looks like a single belt(although the other belt might be hiding behind the belt you can see), which some of the 520s have... while others have the second belt attached to the hip pads. The stitching and material does look different than the usual pant. The belt guard is stitched identical to the normal 520 but again, the material looks off. The velcro for the leg zippers is throwing me off, I cant remember whether the RBK models had that "strip style" velcro piece or they shared the same design as the CCM version. The elastic area also looks like it comes higher up but that may be the size.

I wish they had a few more pics but I'd say that the closest match would be the 520.

Most of the Jofas I've seen have bigger belt guards and I haven't seen a pair with a mesh liner. Also the Jofas that I've seen have split thighs.
