What Are The Advantages of having your skates baked

Recommended Posts

Speeds up the break-in process to help the lining foams to form to your foot. If the skate fit well before the baking, nothing would have changed. If the ankle foam blocks weren't correctly lined up or something like that it would help form an indent in the correct spot for example.

Yeah i tried searching, this website has the worst search function i've ever seen

I searched "baking" in the titles of topics of the ice hockey equipment forum and got three pages of topics. Obviously all of them aren't going to apply, but several of them will. Issues with the search tool are muych more related to the person searching than the application itself.

Some skates require baking due to their constructions and materials, others should be baked to reduce break in time. There are a few that will not benefit from baking in any way.
