43%burnt 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2004 i went to the team russia practice friday morning so i had some time to kill till the game at night. ended up driving around and finding midwestern auto group in dublin, just north of columbus. this has to be one of the greatest dealers ever. not only were the salesmen super cool about letting me take pics even though i obviously couldn't afford anything, they were very knowledgeable about their cars (which is rare these days). nice little conversation about the new lotus elise and the lame switch to toyota power plants instead of honda. anyway, the greatest thing there was this; a freaking carrera gt!!!!:http://43burnt.port5.com/midwestern/P8270083.JPGthere were a ton of other sweet cars there too (damn i want that lotus). here's the whole folder:http://43burnt.port5.com/midwestern/oh, and if anyone is interested in going there. the salesmen (all of which who were drooling over the gt and taking pictures as well) said they would be getting a saleen s7 next week. i think i need to find a reason to drive back to ohio. GekigangarIII 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2004 LOL.. I thought I was seeing things when I saw "Midwestern Auto Group" in the subject. That dealer is literally about one minute from my house. :)Actually the worlds largest Lambo dealer is about 5 miles down the road from MAG (on 33).
asdfa 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2004 i noticed that the pedals in the carrera GT were vertical, doesn't that make them more difficult to use?

Inline Central, knew it well.. heh. They moved the rink down to Granville, we just started the second session there. It's nicer than the old place, though they're still working on it. 43%burnt 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2004 i noticed that the pedals in the carrera GT were vertical, doesn't that make them more difficult to use?sort of. its not exactly a good for everyday use kind of thing. they are a lot more advantages to using floor mounted pedals though. mostly racing applications. one of the biggest things about them is that they are very adjustable. plus the pedal set is a complete unit, which can be removed and serviced as such. heel-toeing on those things would be a breeze. Inline Central, knew it well.. heh. They moved the rink down to Granville, we just started the second session there. It's nicer than the old place, though they're still working on it.i hope they put some heaters in the new place. i remember going to the old rink during the dead of winter and freezing my ass off. our games were always in the morning and you could see your breath when you got dressed. great rink though. i got to check out the new place next time i go there. Thockey17 1 Report post Posted August 29, 2004 Im not a big fan of the carrera gt. It just doesnt do anything for me. I think its way too overhyped. Sure the V10 in that thing is crazy but nothing else catches my eye. I think the one in the picture is pretty ugly. The roof is nasty. Spoiler looks cheap. And i hate that color combo. I think it only nice because i cant afford it, but if i could i wouldnt buy it. Hell at almost $500,000 with taxes and whatnot i could get plenty of real nice cars. Thats just me.My neighbors house is a ferrari dealership :D I've seen tons of 355's, 360's, and 550's in his driveways throughout my life. I dont know how many he owns or owned but I know he currently owns a 355 with some sick BBS rims and a BMW M5 with hamman rims. The guy is cool as hell too. Smith 0 Report post Posted August 31, 2004 I worked at Mag years ago, the really neat stuff is locked in a place we called the "vault" You needed big money just to see the stuff in there, rare cars that were not legal in the states. My current company did the structural design for MAG, I even bought my car there (just a jetta). I work right done the street. As for inline central they got kicked out of that building for the columbus stars ice team, which lasted a half a year and the building was in the process of being turned into a Ice sheet. Last I heared someone bought all the stuff at a bank sale. There is some money around here, and some nice wheels.
