Sharpie on gloves?

Saw a thread about a guy wanting to sharpie out his skates, how does this work on gloves either to black out or add some custom color to a good find?

black ends up looking a little purplish, there are better options, I have heard of people using RIT dye on gloves, not sure how it turns out...

I used it to "convert" purple to black (pro stock Anaheim Oakley returns). Worked fine. Had to touch it up from time to time as scrapes and such occured.

Depends on what color is the glove you're using the sharpie on. To get what looks like a true black on a white color you'd probably need something brownish to counter the purple-ness.

Kind of off topic but could you unthread the embroidery on gloves like NBH 4-rolls, or would it just turn into a huge mess
