If your happy with the amount of hockey u get on TV, dont bother. Being on LI, i get almost nothing, so i ordered it. Its pretty cool tho, being able to watch most game almost anywhere since i got a laptop.

It was working for me earlier. It was pretty good, you could choose from 300/kbps, 700/kbps, or 1200/kbps quality. Not bad quality at all. It was kinda laggy though. I turned it off after a couple minutes because it was annoying to watch it at 10 frames per second. When Yahoo streams the games online you get the same quality options, but it's a lot smoother to watch most of the time.

Thanks for the heads-up; didn't work for me, though. Curious - how's the broadcast/picture quality with this service?

It was decent for the preseason game I watched. No lag issues and it looked decent full screen. I'd rather have center ice over this... DVR + center ice = heaven

Sadly, I don't have it... but I've found all the free streaming games I've wanted to watch for the playoffs last season and so far this season.

Thanks for the heads-up. This is pretty cool. Not sure if it's $21 a month cool though.

It's not worth it for me when I get blacked out of three teams, plus the VS games and the NHL network exclusives. Most nights I have more games that I can't watch than games that I can.

yeah, I will agree with the guys who say the NHL cable package is way better, however when you dont have a TV and all you would want to see on TV are the games, this is a pretty sweet deal...I am going to get a flat panel monitor and it will be awesome! quality is pretty good with fast internet...as far as the tech difficulties last night, several of the later games were only available via radio, but I think that was due to unexpected errors, not blackouts.

The blackout rules are far more restrictive for the online version.
