ccm vector v08

Recommended Posts

I am looking at getting a new lid and like the fit of the V08 but was unsure how it performs. i currently have the 8K and find that it is very hot and that sweat is constantly getting on my half shield. I guess what i am looking for is how cool is the V08?

I wear the V08 all the time. I find it to be a comfortable and a helmet geared towards a deeper fit. It feels cool to me, much cooler than my CCM helmets. I dont know how it stacks up to an 8k though, I've never worn one, but to me the V08 is a great helmet for the $$

You might want to be more specific, CCM makes a V08 in just about every product. Assuming you're talking about the helmet, I love mine. As for how it performs, it doesn't until you bang your head against something.

I went from a 6K to Vector -- similar to what you're asking.

The Vector had much better air flow, I thought. I was contently having to wipe the sweat off my visor with the 6K and never had that problem with the Vector.

For the money ($50 vs $100 for the 6K), the 8.0 is hard to pass up.

Ever try the sweat bands you can add to your helmet? I have an Itech helmet and get sweat in my eyes all the time, have never had a helmet where that wasn't a problem actually.

I only had the sweat problem with the 6K. I didn't have it with the 4500 or V08 and don't have it with the 5500. It should be part of the helmets function to keep the head cool enough to not contribute to the sweating.

You could always try an under armour skull cap.. i dont like the way it looks but if you are looking more for function over fashion that could be an option

great helmet, very cool (temp. wise), although sizing runs a bit larger than bauer 8000's and CCM 1052's

Just switched to the v08 helmet after 10+ years in ht2's. I love the way the helmet fits my head but it does seem hotter than the old ccm buckets.

Can't say much about the ot problem, but with your visor you should adjust it so it's out more.

I have a Retail (EPP) and a Pro (VN) Vector. Visors on both. I don't know if I'd say there is a noticeable difference in temperature, but I find the pro one isn't nearly as bad for sweat in the eyes and stuff like that. The Pro one fits more snug (they are both Med) than the retail. The retail I have set to the 3rd notch...the pro is at it's smallest.
