RBK 9k Fit

Recommended Posts

Hi all

I currently skate in CCM Vector 10, after putting in a thin foot bed and wear very thin socks and having then baked twice they seem to fit ok.

I wish they had a tad more volume, also if I tie them tight my forefoot hurts a little.

Now after 9 months with them I have a little heel slip, I have to make the ankles very tight to stop the soft feel in the heel.

Iam an adult player 200lbs. who plays 3 times a week and coaches two days with my son's team, so my skates get alot of use.

I was in my LHS yesterday and put on the RBK 9 skates and it was like a breath of fresh air, the volume issue was perfect and my heel locked when laced up and only a few pumps if any.

Does anybody know how these fit compared to the Vectors(Volume, heel, forefoot etc)

also any opinion on the 9k skate would be helpful

The forefoot feels great, and the skates feel perfect out of the box.

Thank You

ive had both skates.. i found that the rbk 9k had a tad more volume in general. I had to switch from the rbk to the ccm because the heel was too wide. When the pump came out they helped out a bit with the heel locking in. I feel the rbk and ccm have 2 different type of heel fit. Just my 2 cents

I was wearing CCM Vector 6 skates size 11.5 E, went to a XXXX 11.5 EE, same forefoot if not slightly wider, narrower heel. I recommend you try a set of those out next time you're trying skates on.

What skate will have a wide forefoot and a skinny heel????

Thanks so much

Eastons!

I have a narrow heel and a quite wide forefoot and easton's ee/w's fit my feet perfect.

Swede: Eastons are wide, among the widest on the market.

If your heel is narrow, it's only compared to your own forefoot.

e.g. can you even get your feet down in a size D vector?

I went from Vector Pros 9.5D to Bauer Vapor XXXX 8EE. The 9K's will be too wide in the ankle and heel. I also tried Eastons and they fit fine but they ended up hurting so much (ankle bite - well documented) that I dumped them.

yes i can!

I bought new skates this summer, and i actually choosed between 05-06 vector 7 (D), Easton SBX (EE), and Easton synergy 800c (W)

All fit just fine, heel locks in perfect, no hot spots or anything. The SBX's seemed to have a little more volume than the others, so i went with them..

Last year i was in Vapor XIX's (EE). To narrow in the forefoot, but way to wide in the heel.
