kubina pattern

Recommended Posts

I was in Florida during the summer and the Play It Again in Fort Myers had two Kubina 7ks, they were fairly cheap too like $80. I dont know if you could call them and see what they can do, but its worth a shot maybe.

I think I saw some of his 05 stealths in the czech rep. graphics at a national sports in london ontario. Here's the phone number if you're interested in calling, I'm not 100% on the stick and if they'd ship

Phone (519) 858-3181

fastmiele, did you pick up Kubina's stick at ACC? It has loads of grippy gluey stuff on his shaft. It's quite disgusting, kinda like pine tar. Some of them even had baby powder on them, unless the batch I saw in the stockroom was an experiment. lol

I think a number of players do/use the same grippy stuff on their sticks. On tv, I see either the players use a roll of hockey tape and rub the side of the roll up and down the stick. Also I have seen players on the bench use some type of black blob object and rub it up and down their stick. I have no idea what it is but I am guessing it is some type of pine tar. I think Jason Blake uses this stuff because his sticks are all gluey with black stuff.

I am in no capacity a stick and blade expert. Based on the pic that I saw in the 1st page, the Kubina looks like a longer Recchi. Am I correct or did my eyes and brain deceive me yet again?

do any of you know if his curve and lie is the same as in '05?

I held it in my hands and it feels close to 5 lie. His older sticks were higher, maybe 6 lie so his new sticks have a lower lie.

I also took a look at the back, 180 flex which I guess is a 120 Easton................yikes.
