Not sure if it is NOVA or not, but the best shop I've been in that is located in VA is at Ashburn Ice House.

www.AshburnIce.com

Good amount of twigs, shafts, blades, and more than enough "witty" NBH clothes to go around. Give them a check out if they're close to you, right off of Smith Switch.

Thanks! I will give them a shot. I am up from NC and looking for some new skates but nobody seems to carry my size. Thanks again.

When you go in make sure to go right of the registers. When I was there 2 weeks ago they had a real sweet clearance section of gloves and sticks in that area

Have you got your own transport. If so, try to get to the Gardens Icehouse in Laurel. Mike who runs the place knows his shit, won't try to oversell you on something you don't need. They also carry NikeBauer, Reebok, Easton, CCM and Mission.

Their prices are competitive with the online places.

Also the proshop at Fairfax ice arena is pretty good. They carry a good range of skates, and again prices are pretty similar to online (Easton SE10 are $239)

Jimmy there knows his stuff too.

I would recommend both those places.

http://www.thegardensicehouse.com/forsports.html for the pro-shop in laurel

www.fairfaxicearena.com for the fairfax pro-shop.

Any other questions let me know

Also, fairfax is having a good sale on last years sherwood gloves, just an fyi

Allsmoke is spot on.

Ashburn has great selection too...best selection of Eagle gloves I have seen in a retail store. Carries X72s, PPFs...just about them all. If you are looking for skates they have a great selection. If you are looking for Grafs, Pro-fit Ski and Skate in Leesburg is a great place to go. Their a Mission equipment shop, but not top of the line except for Grafs. They have a good relationship with the rep there, so I have helped some of my friends out here in NY get their custom Graf orders from them.

The Caps Kettler practice facility is a little light on the top quality gear, but one of the best surfaces to skate on in the area as a side note. I love the early morning Monday and Wednesday skates when I travel to DC for work. Always sure to bring my gear and skate there.
