Blacking OUT the NEw NBH logo on the One95s

Recommended Posts

All,

I was wondering if anyone has tried to black out the nbH logo on the one95. I hate the way it looks and am looking to black it out. Thanks for you suggestions and help.

Are you talking about all the NBH logos on the skate? If so two of them are plastic, the one on the boot and on the ankle, these you could use electrical tape on, or even black spary. The third one on the tendon gaurd you could probably use a sharpie or even electrial on that too.

Actually the one on the ankle is the One95 logo, but i dont know if you want that or not.

I was mainly talking about the 2 NBH logos that are on the skates. I was thinking about using a black paint pen but didn't know if it would stick to the plastic. I didn't want to do the tape thing in case it comes off during play. Didn't know if anyone else has done anything similar.

The paint pen should work on it. You could even try a model or hobby paint too, there are alot of hobby paints that are made specifically for plastics.

Ive heard that krylon fusion is good on plastic.

You can find it at any hardware store I believe. They have it at the Wal Mart by me, its a spary paint though so Im not sure if thats what youre looking for.

I used it to black out a pair of inlines and it worked well.

arent the logos stitched on? if so couldnt you cut the seams and take them off that way?

I wouldn't start unstitching things.

Krylon is a brand of spray paint, Fusion is their line that is made for plastics. Get a piece of cardboard, but out a small square toguard the rest of the skate, give it a few good sprays with the "stencil" in place, bada boom, covered logos.

i kind of forget to put this, if you decided to tuff toe it, i would use some blue painters tape or even like white hockey tape around the area, like 2-3 layers of tape, tuff toe can be pretty messy

Good call...or have some paint thinner handy...makes it real easy to get rid of the messes.

Always use paint thinner with protectoe...NEVER have an issue or any damage...in fact, if you read the instructions on the can, it recommends cleanup with paint thinner or mineral spirits. I have used both with no issues.
