Perani's

Recommended Posts

I ordered 2 Inno Blades from Perani's 2 weeks ago (on the 18th) and still have no blades at home, I took standard shipping and I sent 2 e-mails to them in the past 3 days and still have got no response from them, tried to call them and my call won't get thru. I am just wondering if anyone has ever had problems with them and their shipping. They called me the day after I ordered to ask me if I was ok with a 17$ additional charge because I lived in Canada and I e-mailed them saying it was ok, it took them like 6 hours and they e-mailed me back saying they were shipping it right away. They are bassed in Michigan right?? I ordered 2 shafts from The Hockey Shop on the same day, 4 buisiness days after the shafts were right at my door.

They're service seems to be hit or miss. I order stuff from them a couple of years ago and they sent completely wrong items. I had to fight with them for a month to get it all straightened out.

Recently, I've ordered a couple of 2 packs of blades from them. The first order came 3 days later. I emailed them about a tracking number for the package and they responded with it in minutes. The second order was the same but they never responded to my email. I didn't worry about it because I got the blades the next day. I just ordered 2 more 2 packs (can you tell I'm stocking up?) and only recieved 2 blades. I called today and they said they would ship the missing ones out to me today so we'll see what happens.

I used to always deal with the same guy but I've since forgotten his name. He searched all the shops to locate as many of a certain model Responses as he could, then called back with th enumber and the price. He also refused to ship one pair of pants because they had a flaw. He shipped a couple days later when a replacement pair was available.

They called me the day after I ordered my stuff on their website and they asked me if it was ok to put an aditional 17$ fee on my blades for them to cross the border.

I didn't think that fee was for the cross boarder, I thought the Duty was for them to determine how much Canadian it should've cost had you bought it here and for them to equal it out.

When it comes to money they sure are fast and they reply you almost before you even send your message. I've been waiting for 3 days to get a simple reply about my tracking number (if I have one cause they sure haven't sent me one) and nothing, nada.

If you don't mind calling long distance, the WINDSOR, CANADA store number is 519-974-8081 -- Ask for Graham (he is the store owner) maybe he can send them out? Or cancel your previous order and ship them from there..

open till 8pm (dunno when they open) but graham is usually there around 5pm.

good luck

I recently had some stuff shipped up from the U.S. and got really dinged with brokerage fees that were payable COD when it got to me here in Toronto. The stuff was shipped UPS, and UPS charged me some absurd fee (like C$30 on C$100 of stuff) for handling the brokerage. I'm sticking to Canadian stores from now on unless it's something I really want / need. FYI, as was mentioned on another thread, Just Hockey in TO has a lot of Inno stuff (or at least had as of a week ago) - while their prices aren't the lowest, my guess is it'll end up being cheaper for someone in Canada to order from there vs. ordering from the U.S and paying taxes and fees COD.

ChickWithAStick - How does the store in Windsor match up to the ones in the states price and selection wise? I wouldn't mind the 90 minute drive, but I'd like to know its worth the time. They already have a really nice Source for Sports in London as well. I just wonder if the selection will be better than the Toronto stores.

like every store, you have to watch some stuff.. some of it's the same price but some is cheaper.. right now

they have Synergy Grip's on sale for 159.99

Regular Silver synergys for 149.99

cant rememeber the rest

I find the prices really good.. if you wanna know the price on something particular lemme know and I can get prices for ya. Keep in mind most of it's the same as everywhere else.. just I find thier sale prices really good.. bought 2 S grips and 2 pairs of m-1 gloves because I found the prices unbeatable

If those prices are Canadian you have every store in my area beat by $110 each and I know it's a sale, but Synergy's go on sale once in a blue moon here, only V-110's and TPS Rubber Responses.....Nationals did have the True-ones on sale, that I'm kicking myself for though :(

It sounds alright, how is the selection and do they generally carry alot of Pro-stock blades, or other pro-stock items in the store?

These prices are CAD? Those Synergys sound a little enticing.

I bought four True-1s from Peranis back in May and didn't have any problems. They called the next day because I had managed to screw up the number on the credit card ( ). Six days later they were here. Don't have any complaints. I usually don't like ordering online (for a huge list of reasons), but I can see myself getting stuff from Peranis again.

I got a marker in the mail. I'll get my blades tomorrow morning after 2 weeks and a half of waiting, for 2 Inno blades it will have cost me about 200$. That will teach me to buy stuff from a US store. Next time, no US and no Perani's.

They carry alot of blades, but I never actually looked at them.. all thier synergys that were on sale were pro stock..

The sale has been going on for awhile here in Windsor.. other sticks are priced lower but can't remember which exaclty cause I just wanted the Synergy Grips..

Yesterday while I was there they only had 3 LEFT S grips left.. more rightys...

They've had them on for quite awhile.. so not many left.

-I have never had problems with Peranis.. then again, I have never ordered anything from them. :)

Just to follow up I recieved my missing blades yesterday. The shipping time was the same as the others so they did ship them the day they said they would.

Perani's coming to London, eh? Interesting. We've got two good hockey shops here already, but a third is welcome.

Perani's in Windsor is pretty good. I stop in when I visit the in-laws. Lots of selection, and the prices seem decent. Don't know if the staff are knowledgable or not because I usually just wander around looking at stuff. Anything I need I usually get in London.

Word to the wise:

I know more than most of the staff does.. LOL. The Windsor Peranis has about 2 out of 15 knowledgable people there, the owner(barely) and a girl (she plays the game) im pretty sure the rest are dumbass's

So I wouldn't recommend asking anything too complicated :P

I usually ask JR before I go in (laughs)
