Stampeder 2 Report post Posted December 5, 2008 Anyone on here a Sport Select player? It sure makes the games a bit more interesting when you have a few bucks resting on them. I never put down anything more than $10 but its a fun legal way to gamble. I took the Sharks, Wings, B's, and Caps tonight and made $40. Anybody have a big wins lately? How about online betters? Any tips?

mgoblue 0 Report post Posted December 5, 2008 I stick to centsports as well.I've kind of neglected my account of late, but over the past couple weeks, I've just been putting all my money on the Wings - up to $10 now.
mrusse01 0 Report post Posted December 5, 2008 I despise Sport Select/Pro-Line (government sponsored 'gambling' for those of you in the States). The odds/payouts/rules are ridiculous. I stopped playing forever last NFL playoffs when I went to hand in my ticket and was informed too many people had already made the same bet as me, so they wouldn't take it. I have an online account that I use frequently. My biggest win of the year was taking the Spurs in Game 7 over New Orleans in the NBA playoffs, Spurs were big underdogs...huuuge win. Stampeder 2 Report post Posted December 5, 2008 Did you at least get your money back on that russe?
Stampeder 2 Report post Posted December 11, 2008 I thought Perron and his boys were going to ruin my ticket tonight but did not, $122, Wings, Ducks, Rangers, Sabres, Cavs. Looks like Christmas is coming after all haha.
mrusse01 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2008 Did you at least get your money back on that russe?Yeah I got my money back, they wouldn't let me make the bet...it was just stupid though because I was there with like 5 minutes to go and ended up not getting any picks in on one of the biggest football weekends of the year. 'Too many people made that bet'? It's ridiculous. Change the friggin odds if too many people are making the same bet. Pro Line is closer to a tax than it is to gambling. skeeter14 0 Report post Posted December 16, 2008 I have never tried centsports, i have always used pro line. What is the difference besides pro line is sponsored by the government and centsports is not ?centsports is basically where you start off with .10, and you be as you would normally. What makes it legal here in the states is that you are betting ad revenue for viewing ads on their site (much like those stupid survey's you take after watching a movie trailer and you get a $1 for your trouble). That way you arent depositing money in an account, nor is a bank account being used to fund on line gambling, which is the illegal portion. no like your going to make a million dollars of the site, but a fun thing to try out every now and then when you are bored on a slow sports night and there is some mexican soccer league game on FSC. ;)
