Broken Pro Stock 10k

Recommended Posts

i found a tim jackman 10k at the isles practice rink that was broken so i picked it up...its broken right at the heel of the blade so the stick is intact except for the blade. if i cut up to a certain point on the shaft will i be able to insert a blade (i need to cut it down anyway its huge) or do i have to flip it over...or should i just keep it

Send it to me, I'll let you know :P

Try to heat and pull first if you can tell where the fuse is, if not give it a cut and see if there's a tenon in there to push/chisel out. If it's looking like it's a true one piece you can keep cutting if the taper isn't too thin, or flip it at that point.

if you cut it right where the original blade starts you can fit a Sr. blade in it. I recently just put a Synthesis blade in a warrior mac daddy for my friend. Fit perfectly.

MacDaddy isn't a fused 2-piece.

would i want to heat it with a heat gun basically doing the same thing as if i had a normal 2 piece stick? im going to try this method first and if it doesnt work ill just have to cut it to the length i want and see if a blade will fit?

or should i just keep it as a souvenir??...maybe not

I know it isnt out yet....and also the possibility the 10k isnt really a 10k, but which way is it manufactured? Like a wood stick, or a traditional shaft and blade combo....that would make a huge difference if youre attempting to pull the blade.

i might try and stop by a few practices during my winter break from college just for that reason. maybe i'll get lucky and get a twig from bailey that isnt broken.

im pretty sure its a 10k it has most of the features you would expect (visible carbon, etc...) around the blade also has a spray paint like finish (almost like the one95 but much much more rough)

I was talking about if the blade was insterted like a woodstick (which both CCM and RBK sticks have had done, making it worthless to attempt a blade pull on) or, if it was made like the lower end 5k's and the 9ko where it actually had a blade inserted into a shaft...which you COULD pull the blade out of (theorhetically). Thats why I was asking how the 10k was made...it might be futile for him to even try to pull it.

im not sure if it is a true one piece or a fused shaft and blade...i guess i will try heating it and see if anything happens

Yeah according to the sign went I saw it "Tier 1" players sticks are 200 bucks and "Tier 2" players sticks are 100. I don't know who the players are on each Tier but I just remember seeing the sign.

tier 1 was only a few guys like guerin dp i dont remember who else but i think it was like less than 5 guys...the game used shop is actually a decent deal since u are getting the sticks for 100 and most arent really used...ive thought about getting one from their once but i figured it would be hard to get the right curve
